PATCHES:

Yes, we now offer a new patch to the Central Ohio APA players.  It is a Rackless Night patch.  What that means is that if a player wins all of his/her matches without racking, he/she earns a patch.  However, the office will not automatically send them out.  If a player would like one, $1.00 must be mailed with the scoresheet and noted on the scoresheet what it is for.  We will then mail the patch back in the envelope the following week.

8 BALL SPRING TOP GUN TOURNAMENT:

Because there are usually too many players for the 8 ball top gun, we have split the 6 & 7 skill level top gun players from the 3-5 skill level top gun players.  That way all players will be able to play on the 7 foot tables.

**see website for all upcoming tournament dates.

Personal Notes:

Births:  Lauren and Brad Hunter had a baby girl, Cora, February 10.  Lauren plays in the Nationwide League.

Chelsea Stewart and Jason Parsons had a baby girl, Myrical Lynn-Dell, on Mother’s Day, May 11.  She weighed 5 lb. 13oz and was 17 in  long.  Dad and daughter are doing well,  but we are not so sure about Mom.

Mike Shockey had open heart surgery on Wednesday, April 2.  He came through the double bypass surgery fine and is now back playing pool.

Within one week, we had 2 players pass out during league play and were taken to the hospital.  Vicki Johnson from Q-Stix and Tiffany Plewes from Hooligans in Newark. Both are doing well now.

Edwin (toe jam) Kinney is currently in the nursing home in Zanesville.  He is doing everything he can to save the rest of his leg.

Harvey Stiers out of the Rack had a massive stroke in October 2007.  He then had open heart surgery January 2008.  He is doing better and able to walk with a cane, but he will most likely not be able to shoot pool again.

Please e-mail us if you have any information you would like to add to the newsletter.
