The odds of winning this event are so much greater than playing any lottery! And the cost is only $15.00. We are really pleased with the number of Central Ohio players that competed in the Blue Tier (2 & 3). Can we get more for the next Regional this fall?
The tournament moved along very quickly. All of our players played hard against competitors. Audrey Lowery from Newark played in the final match for the 2-3 skill level tier. She fought a good battle!
Mike Roberts from Marysville ended up winning the 6-7 skill level tier. He will be competing against other skill level 6-7’s at the National Singles Tournament May 1-3. Go get ‘em, Mike!
Again, the only cost to play is $15.00 (plus cost of tables) on a qualifier board. Once you win on a qualifier board, you will be competing in a Singles Regional Tournament. Cost to enter that is nothing and the tables are opened up. If you qualify at the Singles Regional to play in Las Vegas, you receive a $300 travel allowance for Singles National Tournament and your room at the Riviera is free! And the total purse for this event on the National level is $200,000.
The qualifying window is now open for Singles Boards Qualifiers through June 15. The next Singles Regional will be held in October. If you are interested in running a singles board please contact the league office. If you would be interested in having boards run at the 8-Ball Sports bar, let us know and if we get enough interest, Nancy can start running them on Friday evenings again.
Remember…..the window closes for the Fall Singles Regional June15.
