The team that received the most compliments from other teams in the summer session was YIP out of Dino's Pizza and Bar. SINGLES BOARDS
The Fall Single Regional Tournament will be held at the 8 Ball Sports Bar & Billiards October 7. This is the first time the Fall Regional has been held in Ohio. The reason we are having it here is because enough singles boards were run in Ohio from November 2005 to June 2006. Central Ohio ran several singles boards during this time frame. We want to thank the people who have stepped up and run boards, especially Brian Hay and the folks from Marysville who consistently run them.
Recent singles boards winners are:
|
Michael Saxton |
Robert Wilson |
|
Chong Sin |
Marynell Vanover |
|
Mitchell Haaf |
Dave Daniels |
There is still time to get singles boards run for the Spring Regional. Boards will be cut off in November. We encourage you to run boards for the same skill levels(ex. 3's & 4's). It is no fun for a 3 to be in a singles tournament against a 7. As you can see above, the Regional separates the skill levels giving everyone a chance to go to Vegas. The more boards we run, the more participants we have in the regional and the better the chance to hold the regional in Columbus.
U.S. AMATEUR
The U.S. Amateur was held at the 8 Ball Sports Bar & Billiards September 23 and 24th. Cut off to participate in this tournament was June 15th. There were so many participants, that it went into a 2-day tournament. Many very good players competed in this tournament. Winners that will be heading to Atlanta, GA in November were:
|
Dylan Lipatapanlop |
Columbus, OH |
|
Tim Williams |
Bay City, MI |
|
Dan D'Angelo |
Austintown, OH |
|
