SINGLES BOARDS DURING TRI CUP:

4 Singles boards were run during the tri-cup tournament: Winners of the boards were:

Jason Withem, Daniel Lehman, Steve Perry, and Nikki Dixon.

FALL SESSION PRIZE FUND CHECKS:

All checks have been mailed for fall session 2003. A total of $35,405.32 was issued to teams. All captains should have divided the money with the players by now. If you have not received your part of the Prize Fund check, please contact your captain. If you do not get a response from your captain, please call the League Office. Several captains have not cashed their checks. Please do so as soon as possible.

FALL 2003 TOP GUN TOURNAMENT:

49 players participated in the biggest Top Gun tournament to date on January 24 with only 6 no shows. Winner was Chad Deal, receiving $170. 2nd place winner was Bill Dyer, receiving $110. Chris Fisher and Mark Jeffrey tied for 3rd place, each receiving $50. 4 players tied for 4th place, each receiving $25. They were: Mike Metzger, John Jordan Sr, Jake Strohl, and Dave Ellis. Congratulations to the winners and all players who participated and represented their divisions.

SPRING SESSION

We have started out 2004 with growth due to new areas and teams getting a 2nd team out of their bar to keep the bar full on the night of play. Many players are now opting to play more than 1 night a week. This only increases the chances of winning at the tri-cup and getting a chance to go to Vegas. Thank you to everyone who has helped grow the league. We appreciate the support you are giving to the league.

Special mention should go to the White Horse Saloon. It has grown from 3 to 6 teams and has added 2 new tables in one session! Dolly knows the benefits of league play in her bar at night.

39 captains will be receiving free cues this session. Richard delivered the first cues to Newark last night and will be working to get cues out around the league in the next few weeks. Please be patient, there are a lot of teams to get to.

We have added the "weekly survey" on the back of scoresheets. This survey will be used by the league office on a weekly basis. Skill levels will not be determined by one team's complaints, but will be monitored to see if other teams have the same opinion

and will be acted upon accordingly. If sandbagging is happening to keep or lower a skill level, make sure that is noted on the scoresheets. The sandbagger may be surprised to see the skill level never go down, but may be only be benefiting the opposing player. Thanks for your input.

MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS:

Prior to a new session, if you as the captain or the entire team would like to either play or not play in a certain division, this must be stated BEFORE schedules are done. It would eliminate schedule changes after the fact, causing problems to your own and other teams. Many times the request can't be honored regardless. Please don't rely on us to remember that you can't play in a certain division. Thanks for your consideration.

WEB SITE:

In case of severe weather, players who have e-mail addresses will be sent an e-mail regarding postponing play for the evening. It will also be posted on the website. This will only happen if a Level 3 is issued. Otherwise, please plan to play as scheduled.

We are having problems with the top gun report and if anyone notices anything wrong, please inform the league office immediately.

Please use the website to print off information that you may want. There should be at least one player on each team who has access to the website. If there are no players on your team who have access to the internet, please let us know. We will then mail the necessary reports to you with your scoresheets.

PERSONAL NOTES:
